2022年9月1日，我院中奥合作办学项目新任项目负责人Oliver Chikuta教授就任。

　　Prof. CHIKUTA Oliver, the new director of IHD’s Chinese-Austrian dual-degree program was appointed on Sep 1, 2022.

　　Chikuta教授就任以来，已参加了多次中奥合作办学项目会议与活动，并将于10月赴维也纳MODUL大学展开为期两周的访问活动。

　　Prof. Chikuta has participated in many meetings and activities of the Chinese-Austrian dual-degree program since his appointment. He will then visit MODUL University Vienna for two weeks in October.

　　9月13日，Chikuta教授参加了中奥合作办学项目与维也纳MODUL大学两周一次的例会。会上，双方就Chikuta教授访问维也纳MODUL大学的相关安排以及中奥合作办学项目的常规工作与待解决问题进行了讨论。

　　On September 13, Prof. Chikuta attended the bi-weekly meeting between the dual-degree program and MODUL University Vienna. During the meeting, the two parties discussed the arrangements of Prof. Chikuta's upcoming visit to MODUL University Vienna in October, as well as the routine work and problems to be solved of the dual-degree program.

　　9月19日，中奥合作办学项目召开了第一次全体成员会议。会上，项目行政人员与项目专职教师分别向Chikuta教授介绍了各自的工作职责与主授课程，Chikuta教授也就项目的发展规划与愿景发表了意见。

　　On September 19, the first plenary meeting of the dual-degree program was held. At the meeting, the program staff and faculty members briefed Prof. Chikuta on their respective responsibilities, and Prof. Chikuta spoke on his development plan and the vision of the dual-degree program.

　　9月20日，国际酒店与饮食文化学院徐慎行院长向Chikuta教授介绍了学院的组织架构以及中奥合作办学项目的历史、发展与面临的问题，并且明确了中奥合作办学项目负责人的工作职责。

　　On September 20, Jessica Shenxing XU, Dean of the International Hospitality and Dietary Culture College, introduced to Prof. Chikuta the organizational structure of IHD college, and also the history, the development and the existing problems of the dual-degree program. Dean Jessica then stated the responsibilities the dual-degree program director should fulfill in the future.

　　这些会议与活动有助于Chikuta教授迅速、全面地了解学院和中奥合作办学项目，为日后工作的开展奠定坚实的基础。

　　These meetings and activities helped Prof. Chikuta gain a quick and comprehensive understanding of IHD college and the dual-degree program, which will lay a solid foundation for his future work.

　　Chikuta教授博士毕业于南非西北大学，其博士论文《南非和津巴布韦的国家公园之通用无障碍框架的开发》于2014年在土耳其伊斯坦布尔举行的第七届世界旅游、酒店和休闲研究生研究大会上获得优秀博士论文奖。

　　Prof. Chikuta holds a PhD in Tourism Management from the North-West University (Potchefstroom, South Africa). In June 2014 His PhD thesis titled The development of a Universal Accessibility Framework for National Parks in South Africa and Zimbabwe won the Outstanding PhD Dissertation Award at the 7th World Conference on Graduate Research in Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure in Istanbul, Turkey.

　　Oliver Chikuta教授是津巴布韦国家旅游智库成员、津巴布韦旅游教育者与研究者协会的创始主席，同时也是博茨瓦纳旅游业技能发展项目的首席顾问。其多年来一直致力于无障碍旅游、生态旅游、可持续与遗产旅游、卓越客户服务以及旅游市场营销等方向的教学与研究工作，在上述领域发表了大量著作，多次参与相关领域国际学术会议并发表演讲。

　　Prof. Chikuta is currently a member of the Zimbabwe National Tourism Think Tank, the Founding President of the Tourism Educators and Researchers Association of Zimbabwe (TERAZ) and the Lead Consultant for a project of Skills Development in the Tourism Industry in Botswana. His research interests are in Universal Accessibility in Tourism, Nature-Based Tourism, Sustainable and Heritage Tourism, Customer Service Excellence, Tourism Marketing. He has published extensively in the above areas and presented at regional and international conferences. Professor Chikuta has also carried some consultancy work in the tourism industry. He is also coordinating a project on the Development of a Technologically Integrated Sustainable Tourism Education Module together with a German partner at DHBW University.
