  Background

  The 16th World Conference on Educational Sciences (WCES-2024) was held at the University of Barcelona from February 1st to 3rd, 2024. It was a pivotal platform where educators, scholars, and policymakers across the globe converged and deliberated on the future trajectory of education in the context of sustainable development. Renowned keynote speakers, including Prof. Dr. Huseyin Uzunboylu, and Prof. Dr. Ilga Salite, set the tone for the conference by addressing pressing issues and proposing innovative solutions in their respective fields. The conference witnessed four sessions covering a wide array of topics.

  Keynote Highlights:

  · Prof. Dr. Huseyin Uzunboylu emphasized the future of distance higher education, shedding light on its significance in fostering accessible and inclusive learning opportunities. He also highlighted the nexus between the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and assessment practices, underscoring the key role of evaluation in driving progress towards sustainable development.

  · Huseyin Uzunboylu教授的演讲主题是“远程高等教育的未来”。他阐述了远程高等教育在促进无障碍和包容性学习机会方面的重要性。他还探讨了17项可持续发展目标与评估实践之间的联系,强调了评估在推动可持续发展方面的关键作用。

  · Prof. Dr. Ilga Salite proposed a coevolutionary perspective for sustainable education under Anthropocene conditions, advocating for holistic approaches to address environmental challenges within educational frameworks.

  · Ilga Salite教授则提出了人类世条件下可持续教育共同进化的观点,主张在教育框架内采用整体方法解决环境挑战。

  Presentation By Kofi Baah Boamah (Associate Professor & Academic Director, Modul Dual Degree, Nanjing Tech University Pujiang Institute)

  Kofi Baah Boamah , Associate Professor & Academic Director, Modul Dual Degree, Nanjing Tech University Pujiang Institute, delivered a presentation titled "A Study on the Current State of Education in Africa: The Way Forward to Achieve SDG Educational Goal 4".

  我院MU项目副教授、学术负责人Kofi Baah Boamah在本次会议上发表了题为“非洲教育现状研究:实现可持续发展目标教育目标4的前进之路”的主题演讲。

  The presentation elucidated the existing challenges and opportunities within the educational landscape of Africa, offering strategic recommendations to accelerate progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4. The research received commendation from the audience, paving way for collaborative efforts to address educational disparities and foster inclusive learning environments across the continent.

  Kofi教授的主题演讲阐述了眼下非洲教育领域所面临的挑战和机遇,提出了加快实现可持续发展目标4的战略建议。他的报告为解决非洲普遍存在的教育差距和培养包容性学习环境的协同合作指明了方向,得到了在场学者的一致肯定,
